Association between school bullying experience and work-related subjective well-being: A systematic review

Objectives: Work-related subjective well-being (SWB) may be negatively affected by early-life adverse experiences, such as school bullying experience. This study aimed to identify the association between work-related SWB and experiences. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using five electronic databases search for published observational studies from inception May 5th, 2022. Eligibility criteria included original papers in English, which measured experiences (eg, satisfaction, engagement). Eight researchers independently screening a full-text review. We used Risk of Bias Assessment tool Non-randomized Studies assess certainty evidence. Narrative data were summarized. The has been registered at UMIN-CTR (UMIN000040513). Results: total 6,842 initially searched. two cross-sectional studies. Both rated high risk bias exposure measurements incomplete outcome data. These showed conflicting results. One reported that associated with job satisfaction among British lesbian, gay, or bisexual workers; on other hand, another positively work engagement Japanese workers. Conclusions: found limited inconsistent evidence
